Ashley Garibay, one of three victims in the mass shooting at an Idaho In-N-Out, loved working at the restaurant, her first job, according to a heartbreaking statement from her family.

“In-N-Out Burger was Ashley’s first job, and she fell in love with it. She proudly traveled to open new stores, and her dream was to one day manage an In-N-Out store. She was passionate about serving Customers and left this world doing what she loved to do,” Garibay’s family told the California Post.

Garibay, originally from Stockton, California, was described by her family as a kind, adventurous and driven young woman whose bright smile and infectious laugh touched everyone she met.

“We are grateful for the In-N-Out Associates, first responders and those nearby who rushed to Ashley’s aid to comfort her in her final moments on earth,” the family said.

Garibay was gunned down Saturday at the In-N-Out location in Twin Falls.

Authorities said the horror unfolded shortly after 2 p.m. inside the Idaho In-N-Out before extending into the parking lot, where police described a fast-moving and chaotic scene.

Witnesses said the gunman, identified as 24-year-old Chad Williams, appeared to carry an AR-style rifle as he emerged from the drive-thru.

Two armed bystanders returned fire, while employees rushed to aid the victims, including one worker who pulled an injured co-worker across the parking lot before first responders arrived.
Authorities said Williams acted alone and was later found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
