Princess Eugenie is officially a mom of three — and now a girl mom!

Eugenie, 36, and Jack Brooksbank, 40, welcomed their third child on Monday, Aug. 3. The baby girl joins big brothers August Philip Hawke, 5, and Ernest George Ronnie, 3.

The British royal family’s official social media pages announced the news the day after the baby’s birth, sharing a photo of the little girl wearing a pink onesie featuring wings on the back and a hat, which was taken by her father.

The official announcement said, “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, born on Monday, 3rd August 2026, at 6:20 pm, at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal. The baby was born weighing 6 pounds 9 ounces.”

“Their Majesties The King and Queen and other members of The Royal Family were delighted to be informed of the news,” the statement continued.

Princess Eugenie also shared the same photo on her personal Instagram page, writing, “Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!! We are beyond in love with our girlie.”

A name for Eugenie and Jack’s daughter has not been announced yet. She was born in Portugal, where the family lives part-time.

The new addition joins the line of succession to the British throne. Princess Eugenie is currently in the 12th spot, followed by her three children, making the baby 15th in the line of succession.

Buckingham Palace announced that Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter was expecting again in May.

A statement from the palace read, “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their third child together, due this summer.”

“August (aged 5) and Ernest (aged 2) are also very excited to have another sibling join the family,” the statement continued. “His Majesty The King has been informed and is delighted with the news.”

The news was also shared on Eugenie’s Instagram page alongside a photo of her sons holding an ultrasound image. “Baby Brooksbank due 2026! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️👶🏻♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️,” the post was captioned.

Princess Eugenie got engaged to Jack after seven years of dating in January 2018. They married that October in a royal wedding at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in a celebration attended by Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip and many members of the royal family.

Eugenie’s baby arrives in the midst of a tumultuous time for her family. In October 2025, King Charles stripped her parents, the former Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, of their royal honors and titles amid renewed interest in their ties to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing in connection with Epstein, and Ferguson has not been accused of any.

In February, Andrew was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office, related to a claim that he shared confidential information with Epstei​​n during his time as a trade envoy for the U.K.

Following the arrest, a source told PEOPLE that Princess Eugenie and her sister, Princess Beatrice, were trying to “stay away” from the controversy surrounding their parents. “They have young children, and this is their grandfather — their focus is on protecting their own children from this,” the insider said.

At the same time, another source, a family friend, told PEOPLE in a March 2026 cover story that Beatrice and Eugenie “want to hold on to their royal status,” amid the turmoil. “It’s their identity,” the source added.

Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice’s titles were not affected by their father losing his. The sisters are not full-time working royals like their cousin Prince William, and they make their living with day jobs. Princess Eugenie studied art history and English literature at Newcastle University and has worked as a director at the London art gallery Hauser & Wirth since 2015.

She also champions several charitable causes, including Scoliosis Association U.K., Teenage Cancer Trust, Elephant Family and The Anti-Slavery Collective.
