MasterChef Australia judge Poh Lin Yeow is putting rumors to rest surrounding Meghan Markle’s appearance on the cooking competition show.

“We had such a lovely time with her,” Yeow recounted during an appearance on the Nathan, Nat and Shaun radio show this week. “She was a model citizen. Like, honestly, no fuss. Hung out with us, didn’t run, scurry away into her green room, was just completely sort of engaged with the whole process.”

“And knows her food,” Yeow added.

Prior to Meghan’s episode airing on July 26, News.com.au reported that Meghan and her team were “very frustrated” by her introduction on the show, alleging they had specifically requested that the word “royal” not be used. The source also claimed they were outside the studio when the introduction was filmed and didn’t hear it until the promo aired. Australian outlet New Idea separately cited an unnamed source who claimed Yeow, 52, was upset by the controversy.

However, a source close to Meghan told PEOPLE at the time that she “had a great time” filming the episode alongside the judges.

“They immediately had such a great rapport and had a really fun time working with the contestants and crew as well. Meghan left the set that day with such a positive experience,” the source said. “Any reporting otherwise is false.”

Yeow said in her radio interview that she has “nothing to complain about at all” from her filming experience with the Duchess of Sussex.

The MasterChef runner-up-turned-host added that she was surprised by all the attention the rumors received.

“It’s ridiculous,” she said. “It’s the first time anything like that’s kind of happened to me, so it’s been very eye-opening for me to see what she cops every day. It’s really full-on.”

Questions surrounding titles for Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, 41, have been a point of discussion since they stepped back from their roles as working members of the royal family in 2020. They retained their titles as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex but agreed to no longer use their His/Her Royal Highness (HRH) styles.

In her introduction on MasterChef Australia, Yeow said, “We’ve had MasterChef royalty in the kitchen before, but nothing like this. All the way from sunny California, please welcome to MasterChef Australia...the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle!”

A source close to the show told PEOPLE at the time that, despite the reports, there was no conflict or tension between Meghan and Yeow during filming and no request for an apology. The source adds that reports Yeow was “upset” or that production was required to intervene are false.

Yeow’s latest comments echo what she and fellow judge Sofia Levin previously told 10 News about welcoming Meghan to the set, describing an enthusiastic atmosphere among the contestants.

“It was a very joyous atmosphere, very excited, lots of hairs standing on end, that sort of thing,” Levin said.

Yeow added that Meghan was particularly interested in learning more about the competitors.

“The Duchess was actually quite clear about wanting to get to know the contestants better, and she said, ‘You know these guys, but I don’t, so I really would like to see some stories and food that’s going to show us their personalities,’ “ she said.
