Queen Camilla enjoyed a spot of shopping in the picturesque village of Ballater on Monday, just a short distance from Balmoral Castle.

The Queen was joined by her sister, her daughter Laura Lopes and several of her grandchildren for the low-key day out.

Dressed casually in jeans, a blue shirt, navy jumper and a Parker jacket, the Queen appeared in her element as she browsed the village shops with her family.

Camilla and her sister were spotted leaving A.B. Yule, a long-established local shop combining a bookshop, newsagent and toy store, each carrying a small paper bag.

The family then continued along Ballater’s high street, with Laura, 48, and her 18-year-old daughter Eliza Lopes walking close behind the Queen.

The group was later seen leaving Kt Boutique with several bags in hand, while Camilla appeared to be in particularly good spirits, smiling as she made her way out of the store with two additional bags.

The Queen’s younger grandchildren were also part of the outing. Her 16-year-old twin grandsons, Gus and Harry Lopes, joined the family but appeared to make a brief stop at the newsagents before returning to the car.

Ballater, located less than eight miles from Balmoral, is a familiar destination for members of the Royal Family during their annual Scottish stay.

The village has long been associated with the Balmoral estate and provides a popular spot for royal family members to enjoy the local shops and scenery.
