Princess Eugenie shares new snaps of baby daughter as mum Fergie ‘ends exile’
Princess Eugenie took to Instagram to mark a month since the arrival of her newborn daughter Adelaide, sharing pictures of her with her older brothers August and Ernest

Princess Eugenie has marked a month since she welcomed baby daughter Adelaide by sharing new family photos of her.
The King’s niece shared a string of Instagram stories showing her cradling her third child in her arms as well as being cuddled and kissed by her big brothers, August and Ernest.
She set the pictures to a song called ‘Happy Days’ and wrote on one of the snaps: “4 weeks of you!!” Eugenie, the younger daughter of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, gave birth to Adelaide, who is 15th in line to the throne, last month at a hospital in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon.

Two weeks later she revealed that she and husband Jack Brooksbank, who split their time between London and Portugal, had decided to name their daughter Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank.
It is understood that the name Adelaide, which is of German origin and means noble, was partly inspired by Queen Adelaide, wife of William IV, as well as Maria Adelaide of Portugal.
Queen Adelaide, who was born in Germany in 1792, was a Queen consort from 1830 to 1837 and was known for her charity work and her kindness. The Australian city of Adelaide was named after her. On her wedding day in 2018, Eugenie wore two diamond ear brooches as hair slides for her evening reception, which were commissioned by William IV for his wife.
Adelaide’s middle name Elizabeth pays tribute to Eugenie’s late grandmother Elizabeth II and it is believed Annina relates to a “personal connection”. Many female members of the Royal Family have Elizabeth as a middle name, including Princess Charlotte.

The new snaps of Adelaide come as her grandmother Sarah Ferguson reportedly is coming out of exile and is moving back to the UK. She had been living overseas amid the fallout over her and ex-husband Mr Mountbatten-Windsor’s friendship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
The King’s former sister-in-law is renting a six-bedroom gated property in the Home Counties, according to The Sun. The former Duchess of York, 66, lost her title in October alongside Andrew after revelations over their links to the late financier.
Sarah used to live with Andrew at his former home Royal Lodge but he was forced to vacate the premises and move to Marsh Farm on the King’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk. She could “imminently” move into a new home, which has three bathrooms and a “granny annexe”, according to the newspaper.
She has faced calls to speak to US authorities about Epstein after last year’s release of millions of documents associated with him shed new light on their relationship.
Epstein has been the downfall of Andrew, who was stripped of his titles by the King because of “serious lapses of judgment” over his friendship with the late paedophile.
Sarah lost her courtesy royal divorcee title and reverted to her maiden name, and also lost the freedom of the city of York after councillors voted unanimously to remove the honour over her links to Epstein.
