And we were like, ‘Oh, you could do this instead though.’ We just wanted to make sure it wasn’t a cheap imitation of one another.”

For Emma, one of the most crucial aspects of playing Wednesday was capturing her physicality. “I just made sure I had the physicality down because that’s I think what’s most important with Wednesday, is the physicality,” Emma said. She recognized that while Jenna’s Wednesday might have the dark, gothic look, the character’s iconic movements and mannerisms were key to making their body swap feel authentic.
