Meghan Markle hits back at critics with 4-word remark about ‘really hard days’

Meghan Markle opened up about the best life advice she has ever received in a new video. The Duchess of Sussex appeared in a new video promoting one of her films – Cookie Queens, which was released last year.
Cookie Queens is a documentary about four girls who “strive to be a top-selling ‘Cookie Queen,’ navigating an $800 million business in which childhood and ambition collide” and Harry and Meghan executive-produced it through their Archewell Productions company. In a new video by Tasty, Meghan appeared alongside Cookie Queens director Alysa Nahmias and three Girl Scouts – Niki, Shannon-Elizabeth and Olive – in a bid to create the best Girl Scout Cookie. After the Girl Scouts decided what ingredients they would use for their new creation – magical brown sugar and cream – the girls asked Meghan and Alysa questions.

One of those questions was: “So Meghan, what is something you were told as a child that still guides you today?”
The duchess said it was a saying from one of her teachers: “Keep a good heart.”
She said: “I just think it’s one of those simple things you can always remember no matter what situation you’re in,” the Duchess of Sussex continued. “Just go, ‘Keep a good heart.’”
Another one of the girls also asked the duchess what her favourite “cookie” – Americanism for biscuit.
While admitting that she loves a classic Thin Mint, Meghan said: “But I like shortbread. I like to dip them in jam.”
When one of the girls noted: “I’ve never heard someone do that,” Meghan replied: “Or sandwich them together with jam in between.”
Last week, Meghan surprised the Girl Scouts by attending two special screenings, one in Los Angeles and one in Ojai.
During a Q+A in Los Angeles, Meghan was asked bout how she motivates herself during “tough moments. She said: “I think so much of it, funny enough, I was thinking about something my husband told me ages ago, because we all go through experiences and life is full of surprises.
“But you know, he was a helicopter pilot in the British Army for 10 years. And sometimes on really hard days, he said, ‘Hey, but my love, you know, even if there’s a storm happening above the storm, the sun’s always shining.’ ”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are two of the 13 executive producers of the film, including Chanel Pysnik, Regina K. Scully, Hallee Adelman, Ann Lewnes, Stephen G. Hall, Ruth Ann Harnisch, Geralyn Dreyfous, Tegan Acton, Emma Pompetti, James Costa and Trevor Burgess.
It was directed by Alysa Nahmias, who also served as producer, alongside Michael Dweck, Gregory Kershaw and Jennifer Sims.
