Amanda Owen Has Never Watched a Renovation Show in Her Life — Yet Channel 4 Has Just Handed Her Two More Seasons as Her Four-Year Farmhouse Saga Takes an Extraordinary Turn

Channel 4 Confirms Two More Seasons Of Our Farm Next Door As Amanda And Clive Owen Prepare To Return

The Owens aren’t going anywhere! Channel 4 has confirmed the future of Our Farm Next Door, with Amanda, Clive and all nine of their children set to return for two more seasons as their ambitious farmhouse renovation continues.

Fans of the Yorkshire family have plenty more to look forward to. The popular More4 series, which follows the Owens as they breathe new life into the centuries-old Anty John’s farmhouse, has officially secured another two seasons.

The announcement is particularly good news for viewers who have followed the family’s progress over the past four years. The programme has become More4’s highest-rated show for three consecutive years, proving that audiences remain fascinated by the Owens’ unique mix of family life, farming and renovation challenges.

TWO MORE SEASONS CONFIRMED – WITH 10 NEW EPISODES

Production company Wise Owl Films will once again follow the family, producing seasons five and six, with 10 episodes in total.

The fifth season will pick up from the emotional conclusion of the fourth instalment, which featured Amanda and the girls enjoying their first sleepover at Anty John’s.

The new episodes will also offer a glimpse into the Owens’ lives from the past summer through to spring 2027, as the family continues juggling the demands of farming with the seemingly never-ending renovation.

THE CHILDREN TAKE ON BIGGER ROLES IN FAMILY LIFE

Channel 4 has already offered a preview of what’s ahead, with all eleven members of the Owen family set to feature.

Edith, Violet and their sisters will be getting involved in running the cream tea van at Ravenseat, while Sid and Miles are expected to take on increasing responsibilities around the farm.

All of this will unfold against the changing seasons in Swaledale, with Amanda, Clive and their family continuing to navigate the challenges of life in the Yorkshire Dales.

CHANNEL 4 BOSS REVEALS WHY THE SERIES IS SO SPECIAL

Jayne Stanger, Commissioning Editor for Channel 4, expressed her excitement about bringing the family back for another two seasons.

She said: “Our Farm Next Door is a joy of a series that holds a special place in the hearts of our More4 viewers.

“I am thrilled we’re continuing to work with the team at Wise Owl to follow Amanda, Clive and the whole family on their renovation journey and I can’t wait to see whether Anty John’s might ever be finished!”

Her comments underline one of the show’s biggest ongoing questions: just how long will it take the Owens to complete their ambitious restoration project?

WHY OUR FARM NEXT DOOR STANDS OUT FROM OTHER RENOVATION SHOWS

James Knight, Creative Director at Wise Owl Films, also explained what makes the programme different from a conventional property makeover series.

He revealed that Amanda has never actually watched a renovation show on television, adding that this may help explain the programme’s distinctive approach.

According to Knight, the appeal lies in the combination of family life, the farming calendar, the question of succession on the farm and the increasingly fascinating history of Anty John’s.

And unlike many renovation programmes, the transformation is deliberately slow, reflecting the rhythm of everyday life in Swaledale.

That means there is always something unfolding as the cameras continue following the family.

WHEN CAN VIEWERS WATCH?
